1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you register for GasBook, create an account, or contact our support team. This includes your name, business name, email address, phone number, and LPG distributor/agency details.

When you use our platform we automatically collect usage data such as log files, IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and the date and time of your requests.

We may also collect information about your customers that you enter into GasBook — such as customer names, addresses, phone numbers, cylinder booking histories, and delivery records — solely to provide our CRM services to you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, operate, and improve GasBook — including processing bookings, managing delivery records, generating invoices, and sending WhatsApp notifications on your behalf.

We use contact details to send you service-related communications such as account confirmations, billing notices, product updates, and support responses. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

We analyse aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how customers use GasBook so we can improve our features and fix bugs. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. WhatsApp Integration

GasBook integrates with the WhatsApp Business API to send automated booking confirmations, delivery alerts, and payment reminders to your customers on your behalf. Messages are sent using templates pre-approved by Meta.

Your customers' phone numbers are used only to deliver the messages you configure through GasBook. We do not use customer phone numbers for any independent marketing.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate GasBook (such as cloud infrastructure, payment processors, and SMS/WhatsApp gateway providers) under strict confidentiality agreements.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of GasBook, our users, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in India. We apply industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security audits.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active or as needed to provide services. After account termination we retain data for up to 90 days before permanent deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Customer records you have entered into GasBook can be exported at any time from the platform before account closure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data held by GasBook at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@gasbook.in. We will respond within 30 days.

You may request a copy of your data in a portable format. If you believe we have processed your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

8. Cookies

GasBook uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice. Your continued use of GasBook after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
